Our course is in the process of being improved; new greens, hazards etc; However the new course data hasn't appeared on the watch or website after many months

The X5 looks like a sport watch. At the course, the GPS and GPS & Track mode provides all the information that you require, such as: yardage to the front, middle and back of the green; hazards; layup; shot tracking and scoring. I find the screen clear and bright even on cloudy days. I would recommend the X5 as a vast improvement to the basic V3.

I'm enjoying the watch but the power button is often pressed when i swing resulting in it trying to power off. Could do with moving this slightly higher on the next iteration. It also doesn't last 2 rounds back to back which is a shame so a pain during the summer when i often play 2 times a day at the weekend

Distance tracking of my shots is the primary reason I use this device. For the most part, I get what I want. But I do have questions about its accuracy at times. For example, the yardage noted on the watch to an upcoming green or hazard is not the same as the distance of my shot when I upload the round to the app to view my shot distances. The difference can be as much as 20%. That calls into question how much I can rely on the device to gauge a shot's distance, as well as how much I can rely on the device to calibrate club distances. Another issue I have is with the app. I find it very difficult and frustrating to add a shot (or penalty) at the desired location on the course map. It usually takes as many as 10 taps to get the screen to accept the addition. Sometimes, I just give up. That brings me to my 3rd issue. As much as I can appreciate the need for capturing shot distances in order to analyze club performances, there's not really a way to separate different usages of certain clubs. For example, I'll use my 9-iron for shots of around 125 yards, but I'll also use it for chip shots around the green. That makes the shot averages quite skewed so I don't get any usable insight into my performance characteristics in those situations. And one final comment is about the accuracy of strokes over or under par for a round. In my particular case the problem comes up when I go two consecutive rounds at my 9-hole course. Par is 32. When I only play 9 holes, the strokes over or under are correct. But when I combine two rounds to play 18, the over/under strokes don't match up with my score. Kind of odd, and it certainly skews the overall performance average.

Stylish watch, easy to read and distances are very accurate. Helps with club selection from performance data per club analysis. Swatch sometimes switches to other functions, is scorecard or last club distance, but this may be due to button catching the glove (?). Apart from that excellent watch.

I really enjoy my X5. It provides accurate distances and then tracks my shots. I do have to do some manual edit afterwards but that's also good for reviewing my round. Highly recommended.

The gps watch is pretty decent but the battery life is not as good as advertised. It'll run out of power on the back nine of my second round. The tags get about 95% of the full shots but virtually none of the short game unless you do the manual putt mode and click at each location. But you need to go to the green then walk to the ball for that to work. Stats are decent, but mainly use the app which is more limited. The approach proximity needs serious rework since layups on par 5s are averaged in. Glad I paid less for a display one. At full price it's not worth it.
