“I upgraded from the previous version (V3), and the upgrade was well worth it. The X5 band is easier to manipulate and the watch has a few more features. The V3 and X5 have changed my game, allowing me to take a solid 8-10 strokes off my game with over the last couple of years (from a low 90s to a regular low 80s, and have flirted with par on a few occasions this year). Upsides: yardages obviously, distances to hazards, actionable reporting on my stats (based on data, not feelings). I’ve become quite a data nerd around the stats and it’s paid dividends. The tags work well as I rarely have a missed swing due to the watch not picking up the tag. Additionally I love the reminder to confirm the score as I walk away from the hole. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s great that there’s a double check in the event that you forget. Downsides: sometimes the glare on the watch face makes it hard to read. Additionally, when I bend my wrist (typically when I’m waiting to fee off, and holding my driver in front of me, when I have a glove on, occasionally the buttons get pushed by accident). Luckily there’s a “are you sure” feature that ensures you don’t screw up. All in all, one of the best golf training aids I have ever purchased. It has made concrete, verifiable improvements to my game.”

“The watch gets better all the time. This newer version misses very few shots and if it does, it’s very easy to correct. The new scoring part helps in finding where those holes are in miss shots, which is a big improvement overall. Liking the new update and if I do have a problem, Customer Service is second to none; just behind Apple. Keep the updates coming my only suggestion would be make penalties easier to get to.”

“If this watch did everything it claims to it would be by far the best watch on the market but after 6 months of use and a replacement watch due to battery issues with the first watch it is far from perfect. The watch performs as expected on probably half my rounds but on the other half......up to 5 or 6 shots in Tracking mode can be missed necessitating a thorough edit after each round. The pin collect function works most of the time but not always. Battery life is barely capable of seeing through the claimed 2 rounds in GPS & Track mode. After a couple of hours use as a watch pre-rounds and then a 4 hour round using full functionality there is always less than 50% battery remaining. Support from Shotscope is generally good but can be slow - they always seem to be busy, I wonder why? Worryingly Support recently suggested that the problems I was experiencing were "normal". Going forward I will likely just use the watch in GPS mode where it seems to perform just fine but I can't hand on heart recommend this watch. I'll likely replace it with a Garmin soon.”

“Hi, I have had the V2, v3 and now X5, all have been good advancements of each other, love the stats, thought the X5 was great until the recent update, now it won't connect to my phone after I've played also If it gets wet it is unusable. The charging connection sometimes comes out. Actually was just looking at a Garmin yesterday will see how it goes. Melvin McAleer”

“I required a replacement watch but shot scope quickly carried this out. Overall the watch is good, misses the occasional shot in a round but I like the product and would recommend it.”

“What is good is collecting long game shots, edit features after round and stats. Not good enough: - gps are not precise enough for short game. Shots are placed in wrong place - using touch screen to collect puts and pin placement is a poor solution. A button would be better. Neither manual or automatic putting mode working well. Edit after round is usually needed on many holes - strange to find a golf clock with no/poor option to time the 3 minutes for ball search”

“The distances of the clock are very accurate. However, the distances to the green are only measured from the fairway. This causes the problem that if you stand to the right or left of the green, the distances are not accurate. In addition, it would be great if the golf courses were measured more accurately. Generally speaking, the watch is great and the interface is easy to use.”
