I’ve played about 7 rounds with my V5. It finds the course and starts tracking. The biggest issue I have with the watch is that it misses almost a shot a hole on average. Almost always misses my wedges. I put the club in my left hand right by the watch and do a couple practice swings (new habit to help get the watch to read the sensor). I find that little wedges are not enough of a swing for it to track that shot. This means that after every round I have to go off memory to fix and add these shots. It’s time consuming and a tad frustrating. I thought it would work much better out of the box. My other issue is that it constantly goes to the putting pin collect option if I walk near the green, no option to go back to the tracking screen and let me track a chip around the edge/fringe. I’m hoping a firmware update is in the works for these issues. Once these are fixed, it would be worth getting.

A friend recommended Shot Scope and because my Garmin was no longer receiving technical support (to update my existing watch I would need to download the latest app, only to find out that my watch was not compatible to the new app!) I dived in and purchased the V5. It's a nice product but I have struggled getting my data to download to the app. I've watched a couple of YouTube clips which have proven very helpful, not enamoured with the Shot Scope manual. Perhaps you can develop a video covering setting up, data collection and downloading the information to the app. Overall I have a great gps watch but I want to get as much out of this excellent product.

Completed about seven rounds of golf now with V5. Really pleased with results. Counts most shots as expected, apart from the duff shots where you only knock it three yards. That said, it's easy enough to override the suggested score when you finished a putt. The only real gripe I have, it fais to recognise temporary greens, but I guess that is to be expected. You can drag the flag to your desired location, but it's very difficult via the App. It's much easier in you log in via browser. Overall, really pleased at the early price, and the overall performance. Battery usually last about two nine holes games, depending how early you switch the watch on prior to starting a game. Couldn't see it lasting two 18 holes as advertised. Would definitely recommend.

Overall very good GPS watch. When I first started using the watch, there were a few times when it wouldn't register the hit with the appropriate club, but I changed the routine to make sure the sensor touched the strap first and it has worked perfectly since then. The GPS is quite reliable and marks the distances correctly with enough precision. I usually finish the round and still have more than 60% battery left.

I am very impressed by the V5 after 6 rounds. Had a little trouble picking up club tags on my second and third rounds but that seems to have resolved itself. I still have clubs that don't get picked up but it's only one or two per round. I'm shocked at how well it picks up my putts. The app provides much more information than I expected. I previously used Arcos but was turned off by the annual subscription fee. My only wish is that I would like to have Shotscope calculate my (unofficial) handicap in the app so I'm not guessing. I know its a bit of work but many other apps are able to do it.

First of all, I am very satisfied with the new V5. What has happened to me a few times is that the V5 does not indicate the 2nd club you are using. I have also noticed that before you can enter your putts, the V5 is already on the next hole. Of course, these things can also be my fault for registering the putts too late. But for the time being very satisfied.

I have both the V3 and V5 GPS watches, both are superb with the V5 being more stylish and faster.I would recommend both watches as the product is reliable and related app are reliable and give all the stats you need.
