The watch is attractive, and the FMB yardages are bright and easy to read. Hole, par, and time of day, while playing a round, are too small for aging eyes and dimly lit. It would help if they were brighter. The same can be said for bunker and water information. Bring your reading glasses with you!

Context. I'm a 75 year old Senior Golfer playing off 14.7 at time of writing. I upgraded from the V3 model and thus get the added benefit of a map of each hole and the ability to "measure" various distances to any part of the fairway/hole. This is extrememly useful on away courses. As I play with a Seniors section many have different golf watches and frankly there is no difference in distances with all watches. So the Shotscope provides similar data with regard to distances as any other device regardless of cost. HOWEVER when one adds the tags to the clubs and starts seeing feedback re performance of one's clubs over several rounds the information provided is eye-opening, particularly regarding approach shots to the green. For instanc roughly 50% of my approach shots are short of the green and so I bring this into my thinking during current rounds. All in all I'm delighted with the product and definitely recommend it to other golfers.

Pretty simple to set up. Needed to charge out of the box, then update. Then download app and connect. That all went fine. I had an issue after my first round of getting my round to upload. Had to restart watch and delete and re-install the app. Then it uploaded. On the course the watch was pretty good. It missed a few swings, a few puts and chips. Actually we were 14 strokes off. The good news is you can correct this after you upload. Actually if you want correct data you have to fix this. It does take some time to fix. I think it will get better over time. For the price I think this will be a great investment.

I have used the V2 and V3 models of the Shotscope. Both of those worked, but not as well as the V5. The V2 and V3 missed too many shots, and some of their RFID tags failed after a few years. So far the V5 tags haven't had those problems. I like the new display, the longer battery charge time, and the "Last Shot" capability which gives me performance feedback in real time. My only significant issue is that the RFID tag is screwed into the rubber cap. Some clubs come with caps that aren't rubber thereby necessitating a bit of improvisation work. And, sometimes the RFID tags fall out during use which necessitates use of epoxy. But, so far I have enjoyed using the V5 and it does help my game. Highly recommended.

I've been using Shot Scope V5 since it became available and the information I have gotten after each round has been a great help in my club selection for each shot. The only problem I have had is with puttin. Sometimes, if the pin is near the edge of the green, the watch can't tell I'm there and I have to manually change hole to keep it sequence.

The V5 is an excellent tool, however, the tracking feature is a little complicated and requires a routine that I did not do prior to purchase. My first round, I wore the watch above my wrist resulting in 'hole in one' scores with my Driver (if it were only true). I'm still struggling with using the Auto Putt or Manual Putt settings and the Club Tags feel a little loose but I'll fix them with a little double face tape. Regardless, I still rate this 5 Stars and I cannot wait to master the tool, stats and golf game. I'm a struggling 8 Handicap looking to be consistetly under 80.

Only played 3 rounds with the watch so still learning about all the features. Best one for me is the hole overhead view. Hit a drive right and had to go up the next holes fairway. Used the overhead view to get an accurate distance and parred the hole. Great battery life. Great product.
