Not only a great looking watch but has full hole maps, and shows distance to hazards, and I’m using performance tracking.

I love the watch, it is easy to use, works very well on the course and is a worthwile upgrade from the H4. Highly recommend it. However shipping to continental EU was problematic, waited 14 full days for delivery instead of the promised 2-4 business days and that with paying extra shipping fees.

I'm not blown away by the new V5 GPS watch. The hole overviews, scorecard, hazard placement are all great features. However we are buying this watch for the shot tracking. I've used my watch for 8-10 rounds and it just isn't picking up the shots with the right clubs. I'd say its 50/50 at best. When i download my rounds there is a lot of editing i need to do. Along with this is remembering my yardages and what clubs i hit on each shot. I previously had the V3 watch and it was spectacular. I'm not sure it ever missed a shot. Just a bit disappointed in this part.

I am coming from an H4, which is provides the same off course data but is not as seamless to use during a round as the watch. I picked up the V5 using a legacy promo that allowed me to purchase at launch for $180. When I bought it, I thought, "No way this is going to be very different from the H4." Boy was I wrong. This watch is much faster to start a round at the course, connect to my phone, and move around the screens during the round. It's easy to glance down and get yardages that are within +/- 1 yard from my rangefinder, to the point that I barely use the rangefinder anymore. The hole map is helpful when I am unfamiliar with the course, and distances to hazards are a nice feature too. I've played 10+ rounds so far and have missed less than 5 full swing shots. The only regular issue from a data collection perspective is missing duffed shots, which is more my problem for having two swings too close in proximity to each other. One comment about the Shot Scope support: I normally play a 9-hole course, where to play 18 you just go around twice. The V5 has had some quirks with how it manages manual scoring for this format and the Shot Scope team has been responsive to my inquiries and creating bugfix tickets or answering my questions. I would recommend this watch to anyone looking to streamline their on course play and also learn about their game through data.

I recently replaced my V3 GPS watch with the new V5. I have been using the V3 for quite a few years. Never had a problem except for the charging cable breaking. The new V5 fixed that. No more clip. Now it's a plugin cable. Most of the features are the same, and they added some features that are very useful. Layup to doglegs is something I use a lot. The battery life is better. The V3 would be almost dead after 18 holes. When I get home and put the watch on the charger now, it's at 50% of battery charge. Overall it's a very good upgrade to my old V3.
