“Soldasip is definitely one of the better brands of desoldering wick. It works well for any desoldering job, but seems to work better for removing solder from surface mount chips than other wick I've used (maybe it's differently braided?)
Pro tip: make sure that you unwind a fair bit of it before using it, otherwise it'll melt the plastic holder when you heat it up ;)
Also: try applying some liquid flux with a flux pen to the wick before you desolder away. SO GOOD.”
