Transferred my OS from the sd card using the standard raspberry pi tool. Boot time is now a lot quicker.,”
“I purchased the official Raspberry Pi SSD to go with my new RPi 5. I use it in the RPi expansion box with a compute 5 module. It was easy to install and to copy the operating system and programs across to it. This pairing makes for a very powerful raspberry pi computer which I am pleased to say could be a good replacement for more traditional PCs. Although it may not be as fast as a high end gaming computer (which doesn’t bother me) this setup seems to be quite performant for traditional programming and office software suites to run. The lag time to load programs and ti run them is far better than the older RPi’s, helped by the speed of the SSD. Worth the purchase to make a very capable little workstation.
