“Ok does the job, but I would prefer a larger more effective cooler. Why o why can you not easily adjust the fan to cut in at lower temperature. A simple utility would allow people to bring the fan in at a moderate rpm at a lower temperatures to get progressive cooling. More heat and the fan spins up or slows down at lower temps. Raspberry should developed a cooler for over lockers. Large heat pipe coolers are available and work well but why no official one?”
“The active cooler for Pi 5 is a must have, if you own a Pi 5 and don't have a cooler then expect a reduced life.
It fits nicely to the board, is quite quiet and has a dedicated port so that it doesnt take up any GPIO pins.”
“The cooler is highly effective at managing the increased heat generated by the more powerful Raspberry Pi 5. It keeps the CPU temperatures well within safe limits, even under heavy loads, which is crucial for maintaining optimal performance and longevity. The design is compact and integrates seamlessly with the Raspberry Pi 5, making it easy to install without adding much bulk.”
