“A Pico is not a Raspberry Pi, but with microPython it feels like one. I ported routines from Python and the ones I had worked without alteration. It uses very little power, and indeed can be put into a sort of hibernation to use even less power. The inbuilt analogue to digital convertor makes using the Pico simple. No add ons are required for that. The wifi signal is not as robust as the Rpi so position is very important. I recommend an error catching routine to deal with any momentary loss of signal.”
