“Order process simple and quick. Product was a high quality as Id expect from Raspberry Pi and Pimoroni. My one concern which I have highlighted to them is when a new Raspberry Pi product is released and demand is obviously high, they should remove the "Order within the next ____ minutes for dispatch today", as it was misleading, products were not dispatched the same day due to the warehouse being under pressure.”
“Cracking little board, I reckon this is the start of something big, it's got great documentation (other manufacturers take note!!!), it's arrived with a mature dev environment although the Windows C/C++ one could use a bit of work it wasn't too difficult to get going and I've managed to port my current STM32 project's code over.
If Python is your thing then you've even better support, I managed to get a Micropython 'Helloworld' running from scratch about 20 minutes after I'd opened the packaging.
This might finally kill off the ATMega based Arduinos, so cheap, much bargain.”
“Excellent little board for tinkering. I've spent the last week or so trying many different things with it, and haven't even scratched the surface. Teaching myself MicroPython as I go.
So easy to connect and use, and lots of guides, tutorials and information available.”
“A nice addition to the bottom end of the Raspberry Pi lineup, albeit without the Raspbian OS. It’s a small board mounted microcontroller, similar in principle to the Arduino but runs micro-python. It’s great for small self contained projects, but (like the arduino) lacks sophisticated on board peripherals, such as BT, WiFi etc.
It’s a great bit of kit to learn about I/O, and micropython, but personally, I prefer using the espressif esp8266 and esp32.”
“Great little microcontroller. It might not be the most powerful, but it just works. As always the community and support from the Raspberry Pi Foundation is great.
It's the going to be the brain of my new MIDI controller.”
“Seems okay, annoying you have to unplug and plug back in to program if you aren't using Python though. Installing software bit of a faff to. Arduino, for all it's faults, is a far smoother experience software wise. Hardware is great and it is an amazing price as well.”
