“I bought two fans. One of the fans doesn't seem to work properly, perhaps a little infant mortality. That sometimes happens and I don't hold that against Pimoroni, not their fault. I haven't pursued a replacement yet because I haven't finished testing to confirm it is dead. For the working fan, it does a very good job of keeping the Pi 4 cool. One thing I would love to see improved is the wiring. You get three wires that go to two connectors that slide onto pins on the Pi. I would prefer to have it all on one connector. But that is a minor complaint. Installation of the fan into the case is very easy, it just snaps into place. Connecting the fan to the Pi is easy, just slide the three wires onto specific pins on the pin header in accordance with very clear directions. The fan also comes with a heat sink that goes on the CPU and helps with heat dissipation.”
“Easy to install, software support out the box, remarkably noisy on any of the speed settings when installed in the case. Does the job, but not for a quiet room or bedroom.”
“Small but effective fan, less noisy and does the job. I have read and watched reviews about this fan, but buying and installing was fun and it does the job effectively. The temperature has remained normal between 40 to 45 degrees.”
