“Worked pretty well out of the box following the beginners guide.
Had to be connected to HDMI 1 on my Sony smart tv to boot up.
Would have perhaps preferred a touch pad to the mouse.
Currently brings the internet to a cheap TV in the kitchen to replace the now rubbishy BBC text pages.”
“I had decided to buy a Pi 4 but when I came to check online, the Pi 400 had just been released so that's what I went for. Having had good service before from Pimoroni, I went with them and wasn't disappointed. The kit arrived safely in a couple of days and everything was up and running in minutes. I already had some Raspberry Pis, but I'd certainly recommend the 400 for convenience and neatness; there's just the power cable, monitor cable and, currently the Pi mouse to plug in rather than the mess of stuff hanging from my other Pis. I've got a number of sd cards with various projects: Raspian, Twister (which includes RetroPie) and RiscOs (I used to have an Archimedes computer). All in all, a great buy from a good company.”
“On the face of it, everything you might need off a PC - however the one I was sent refused to connect to my wi fi despite repeated attempts - the book with the PC was not much help, it said that the wi fi should connect automatically - sadly it didn't.
The unit seems well built and the keyboard responsive, the hdmi output was clear, but I could not get the settings on the PC to correctly fill my monitor screen.
Sadly I decided to send the unit back, since a PC without wi fi is no use to me - you may be luckier, I hope so”
