“Really pleased with RPI400, using it for exposure to Linux and C++ also for messing with the PI Pico, have also installed the Ardino IDE, but some boards are not supported. I have run it with a TV attached as a monitor and headless, using a surface tablet, a small amount of messing about with the config file was required to get the HDMI settings correct.
Running it with the recommended Debian at present, but have also have an Unbuntu 64 bit installation on another SD card once again runs reasonably well.
Obviously, it's not a gaming machine, but as a low-cost, learning and micro development tool, I am more than happy with the purchase.”
“Great desktop replacement and development platform. Pi 400 format will allow me to gain knowledge and experience on IoT devices in a more portable self contained format. Backpack friendly too.”
“This is a replacement for my original order of Pi 400 Computer which developed a faulty memory card slot. An email to the support team sorted everything out. I got a return paid note and i have to do was to pack the raspberry pi and drop it in the Post office. I got the new replacement Raspberry Pi even before i posted the old one. Really Appreciate the quick response and resolution of the reported issue. Thanks Pimoroni.”
“A lovely piece of equipment.
Powerful, doesn't heat up and compact.
Boots from USB sticks and plenty of ports, I would give it a 9 out of 10.
After using it for a few weeks I would have appreciated an additional micro-USB port (slow, if needed) for use with an OTG cable, for emergencies :)
This is the best Raspberry Pi I have ever used, speedy, more than enough memory and combined with Linux it is a joy to use.
A painless purchase from Pimoroni, swift delivery and the cheapest one around.
My tip: get Micro-HDMI to HDMI adapter cable too.”
“I thought I'd do Chia mining with it, but have just been mucking about with it as a sandbox thing. The built in keyboard is very good, make sure you use a fast micro SD or an SSD attached to a USB 3. (easy enough to change boot order) It's a groovy little bit of kit, quite fun and powerful enough not to be frustrating”
