“Lovely bit of kit, delivered quickly.
One point to note is that you *absolutely* want to get a good power supply, either the official one or one similarly rated. Running the Pi 400 (or a any Pi, for that matter) from any old USB port or plug, will appear to work, but often not enough power is getting to the Pi and will result in seemingly random restarts.
Only complaint is that the USB ports are a bit close together and some of the things I want to plug in won't all physically fit... Other than that, just awesome.”
“I have a limited budget. Bought this to replace a cheap intel J4125 desktop that failed after a couple of months. While it might be a little slower, with the new 64bit PI OS installed on a USB drive, I am more than happy with its performance (I mostly use it for simple web browsing, writing code and as an access terminal for my Slurm cluster). I like the keyboard feel and certainly benefit from the reduced desk clutter. IMO it's a fab product!!”
“I've always had Pis before, but never integrated with keyboard. Never really interested me.
Now I'm converted. It just makes it simpler, all in one package, avoiding periodic 'where's the keyboard to connect to it?' moments.
Well worth a try.”
“Needed some kind of PC to bridge the gap between corporate laptop (no private use) and phone. This Pi400 filled the gap perfectly. Performance is not blistering, but this is what I expected. I have Ubuntu Cinnamon on it which allows me to check mail, surf, cloud-based office docs, and listen to music which is all I wanted on a daily basis. Takes me right back to my early computing days with an Acorn Electron with the brains inside the keyboard.”
