Initial impressions very good. The PiZero is a little underpowered for this -- it works fine with e.g. omxplayer --adev alsa music.mp3 but doesn't have enough power to run shairport (curl https://get.pimoroni.com/airdac) with this DAC. Shairport works well with this DAC on my rPi 3B.

I love the Pi-Dac and now Pi-Dac pro. It makes my $35 raspberry pi sound better than my $2000 Mac. Honestly sounds amazing. Has a lot of low end, very round and full sounding. If the developers are listening I have one huge request that would make this product indispensable for musicians and sound artists like myself. HAVE AN AUDIO INPUT. That would put this product over the top. I am considering looking into other products as I need input as well as output, but for now I am sticking with the Pi-Dac as it sounds awesome.

In 15 minutes I started play music at my new toy dac. Isn't bad for the money. In my opinion, RCS sounds better than XLR balanced. You can build with 100$ a very good streamer with dac. I'll not keep it. It arrived in three days, so it was perfect. Thank you

Even though I was expecting an improvement from the 3.5mm jack on the Pi I wasn't quite expecting the quality that this little unit gives. I am a bit of an audiophile and the RCA leads being used are 3 times the price of the DAC - but again this unit is quite magic!

The Pi-DAC Pro ensures Audio-Quality at its best. Its way better than the Pi output itself, but also better than most others. The frequencies are clear from deep bass to high ends. Its a dream of music. On top of that it is easy to install, no drivers needed with PiMusicBox, Volumio or Mopidy. The screws for distancing the Pi from DAC are included so you have a full pack of Hifi-Music. The only part I built myself is a housing. Perfect part for me, would definitely buy it again.

This is an excelleant audiophile quality DAC. I was using a fairly cheap Lexicon USB DAC to connect my media centre to my Naim amplifier and speakers, but when I switched to the Pi I bought one of these and the sound quality blows my old setup out of the water. Works perfectly with Mopidy and Mopidy-Alsamixer. A couple of points on the setup with the latest Rasbian (as of Aug 2018) that aren't mentioned in the setup guide., Your /boot/config.txt needs to contain 'dtparam=i2s=on', which was commented out in mine. Also I initially put 'dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus' at the end of the file but that didn't seem to work, I put it below the 'dtparam' section and that worked.

This pi-dac turned my raspberry pi into a high quality streamer. The price/quality ratio of this dac is very good. Unfortunately it seems that standard support in volumio has been suspended, so it took some tinkering to get everything working
