“Set it up to boot from SSD. Things keep happening real fast (faster than 3B+) and I keep remembering "Oh yeah, it's a Pi4 running from SSD". This thing is AWESOME!

“I was looking for a small PC that my young lad could use. Previous pis were awesome but not great for YouTube. This pi changes all that. Fantastic machine. 8gb was a bit overkill but for that price I went for it. Not only is my child working on an affordable computer but he now has all the hacking benefits of a pi as well. Awesome”
“The Pi 4 Model B is an excellent product. The updated features such as the better CPU and Ethernet on a dedicated bus make a great deal of difference over previous models. The 8GB iteration is a little overkill for many use cases, but for certain projects it makes tonnes of sense. With 8GB of RAM it could make a genuinely useful "desktop" machine.
The one downside to the Pi 4 Model B is a well known one at this point. It overheats badly. Again depending on your use case this may not be an issue. However there are a tonne of cooling options both passive and active that help out with this kind of thing. In most cases I suspect passive cooling would be enough but again, use case dependent.”
“Great device for its size, however, one unexpected thing was that 64bit Raspberry OS is still in beta if you want to use the full potential of 8 GB of RAM, should’ve researched beforehand.”
