“I intend to use the RPI4 as a home server to replace an older RPI2 model B. I don't like debian based OS's so opted for Archlinuxarm. I had difficulties with hardware problems initially (basically an hdmi to micro hdmi cable did not work). Alarm did not work too well for me so I switched to Manjaro (https://manjaro.org/downloads/arm/raspberry-pi-4/arm8-raspberry-pi-4-xfce/) which worked out of the box with an extremely easy install. I find the RPI 4 can work with a newer monitor at 1920 x 1050 and even though I won't be using the display capabilities the RPI4 is very capable. I now have all my mercurial repositories and web applications served much faster.”
