Feel silly now but I had thought my mini HDMI adapters from Pi Zeros would work for the Pi 4 but 4 has micro HDMI so you do need new leads or adapters.
I am not sure if I did something wrong or missed an option but I found an 8GB SD card is not big enough for full Noobs made Raspian so better use 16GB.
I have been researching booting from USB now we has USB3 and it seems to be the way to go so I have ordered adapter and a 32GB SSD. Easy instructions found on line so it looks like by by to SD cards is the way to go fo many set ups.
I have also ordered a desktop 1TB drive for data as they are now amazingly cheap.”
“It’s early days regarding software. (week 1) Even so, the latest version of Raspbian runs great and will get better with further optimisation. Web browsing and office tasks run really well. I’m looking forward to the upcoming support for games emulators. Even now flash games run really well.
