“After having managed to source a Pi 4 4GB last year, I had intended to look at some projects and programming. However, this particular Pi has been permanently stolen by the children and is in use as a retro games machine.
I was happy when I managed to bag this Pi 3 A+, so that I could actually start using a Pi as I had originally intended! I consider this particular Pi to be pretty much end-of-line, but still a useful SBC. Legacy annoyances such as micro-USB are present, I hate those ports!
I purchased a Display HAT mini at the same time, and managed to be fully 'up and running' within 30 mins (probably helped a little with my previous Pi 4 shenanigans). I have a few projects I intend to target at a Pi Zero 2, and horsepower wise this is similar enough to be used as a development board.
I'm a software engineer by trade, but never ventured into Python - I happy to say after a few hours I was writing small Python programs that actually worked!
