“I purchaced this product to replace my PiZeroW which suffered a HDMI port mulfunction. While I could still use it headless, the initial setup is not very easy since PiZeroW has no RJ45 port to obtain statick IP physically.
I still wanted a compact solution but was reluctant to buy another PiZeroW as I suspected that miniscule ports on PiZeroW are rather fragile.
It was my luck that this updated version of Pi 3 A just got released. While Pi3 A+ also has no RJ45 port, it has a full size USB port and a full size HDMI port. It is essentially a souped up version of PiZeroW :)
For those looking for a desktop solution, I do not recommend this Pi since it only has a same amout of RAM as PiZeroW. But if you are looking for a server solution, this Pi is great for that. It is physically more robust than its small brother PiZeroW.
I am currently using it as a local DHPC cerver and adblocker (Pi-hole) and very happy with its performance.”
