“Happy with this new Pi, embeded WiFi is great addon.
I use my Pi for work when testing network connectivity and I also have mobile access point configured with it.
Thank you Pimoroni and Raspberry”
“From the time I ordered to the time I received my order was 4 days - super quick delivery, particularly as it was coming to continental Europe. Much appreciated! And thank you for the smooth, no-fuss ordering service.
As for the Pi 3...all I have to do now is figure out what I actually want to do with it! The on-board bluetooth and wifi are a most welcome upgrade, and will free up USB slots for other things. Maybe just set it up with my touchscreen for now and use it as a quick and ready mobile computer.”
“Got my pi yesterday and i'm falling of my chair today. Spent the entire night to set up like my old pi2 (media center and retropi game console emulator), and after that tried out some of the new features (and spent the rest of the night playing old games on the retropie. So far the new pi3 hold out better than me. :)”
“Wow just when you think they cant get better this one comes with faster speeds+bluetooth and wifi and when placed in a pimoroni case you cant go any better.”
“The pi is very easy to use, we received it with the OS preloaded so once the case as built it was pretty much 'plug and play'. We have been using the pi for about an hour and already we are creating our own RPG. Very highly recommended.”
“I've been running a Raspberry Pi Model B since 2012, but it started to show signs of buckling under the load of all the things I was running on it, so with the announcement of this new model, I was more than happy to upgrade and let the old Pi do less work.
After receiving the Pi3 promptly from Pimoroni, I spent the majority of the last week setting it up just the way I like it and I am very pleased with the purchase. The difference in performance is very noticeable, I'm using the Pi3 to run a git service, an IRC bouncer and a few other self-developed services and it tackles each one perfectly. The page rendering time on my Git server has gone down considerably since the upgrade.
I also like the changes they have made to the layout of the board, the power socket is on the side, rather than opposite to the network cable. I can't speak for the quality of the new Wifi features as I'm sticking with good old ethernet, although I'm looking forward to finding ideas of what the Bluetooth might offer.
The most astonishing thing for me is just how cheap the whole solution is, I paid ВЈ34.50 with shipping for a home server that would have probably cost northwards of ВЈ200 in days gone by.”
