“It never ceases to amaze me how much you can do with a device that costs so little. The Pi Zero W represents fantastic value for money and is great for small hobby projects that make use of sensors and other similar equipment. I recommend paying the extra to get the pre-soldered version as it can be tricky soldering the GPIO pins in, and it is easy to damage the board whilst doing so.
If your intention is to use the Pi Zero W as a desktop PC (i.e. with a graphical user interface) then I would recommend a more powerful Pi, as it can be rather slow even on the command-line. However this is to be expected for a device with these specs and is certainly not a criticism of the Zero W itself.”
