“got this to start my PiTV, put the hat on the pi and started it up. Found the hut and get live TV working, but you might need the MPEG2 license from Raspberry Pi to make it work better”
“I've been using the Pi TV HAT with a raspberry pi 4 for about a week now and everything is working as it should. I really like the user interface, although finding the best solution was a bit of work. It turned out, that the default solution, i.e. using the NOOBS image, installing both the Raspbian desktop and LibreELEC was the best solution.
You need to provide your own antenna. I am using a very basic DVB-T2 aerial, which works absolutely fine. Watching and recording TV with the LibreELEC GUI is really easy.”
