“I like Pi as it is great tool for learning new stuff, lots of fun discovering options. Kit itself is great because of its size, whole pc that fits in jacket pockets. Ninja coupe is awesome case as it gives possibility to add HATs. Though SD card is class 6 while everyone reccomends class 10.”
“Be honst, how boring is a pi without Pibow. This kit is basically what you need to get everything running.
The only down side is the 2A power supply. Pi 3 doesn’t normally need that much power, unless you are splitting it with the official display (with the glorious splitting cable from pimoroni). You can get under-voltage warnings when you try to do that.”
“I bought this one for my son, to get him started in programming.
It does the job well, can be used even as a simple linux based computer.
With an added OmniVESA mounting can be added to any VESA supporting monitor.
Don't forget to buy a 6mm Raspberry Pi 3 Heatsink too.
In the future I'll upgrade also the microSD card to a 16GB one, maybe a bigger one but I'm not sure that it is supported.”
“This kit could be a good start with only one issue : why the PSU is the old 2A and not the new 2.5A ? I know 2A works "most of the time" and 2.5A is only needed in "extreme cases". But it's so quieter to start with a kit ready for the future and... the extreme cases :)”
