“Bought it for my new Pi 4 because there aren' t many other options available yet. The color scheme is more domestic than industrial and the curved top surface limits your flush/velcro options. Those minor niggles aside it seems to do just what it sets out its stall to say it does.”
“The case is well made and provides plenty of protection for for your RPi4, but it's not nearly as modular as the previous version. You can't remove the side panels and there's no independent lid on the main top. This means you can't access the GPIO pins without remove the upper half of the case. Also with the top in place, the case is completely sealed so there is no ventilation :-(. The RPi4 does run hotter than the previous versions. In a test I left myRPi4 sealed in the case, and even idling it was hitting temperatures of 80C. With the lid off that dropped to 60C. At the least I'd have preferred a case that had some ventilation holes in it, or ideally a lid you could remove while still leaving the RPi4 securely held in the case. I'm not sure why they changed the design so radically given how good the previous one was.”
