“Getting started with the 'Inky Frame + Accessory Kit' was a great experience - it's super nice that out of the box you can immediately just plug in a Micro-USB (or the battery pack) and see it running with the built-in examples. From there, I 3D printed a nice frame and used the provided feet to have it looking good on my desk a few hours later.
I am a programmer but I've never used the Pico before - getting up and running with Thonny and MicroPython from my M1 Mac was quick and easy. From there, I modified some of the examples and started developing some custom displays working against a very simple back end. Highly recommend this kit for tinkering if you are happy writing some Python to get going!
Delivery from Pimoroni to Sweden was fast and painless. Even though the VAT was pre-paid, I had to pay Postnord 175 SEK for the privilege of not-charging me any customs - but that's not on Pimoroni, as they had correctly paid the customs and labelled the package correctly.”
