“The PRESTO is a brilliant piece of kit and I’ve been delighted with it. The 4" square touchscreen IPS display with 480x480 pixels is wonderful and easy to control with Picographics, which provides fonts and geometric shapes. There is so much room on the display and the Touch input is very accurate allowing the user to produce small screen buttons and touch sliders for input. The Qw/ST port provides soldering free access to I2C sensors and devices (including the very useful small, 10 button, controller pad) to be connected with ease. The Raspberry Pi RM2 wireless module is also easy to setup and use. I found it to be very reliable. There is a great deal of fast memory and storage for programs and data; with a SD card slot for slower items such as photographs and large data files. I’ve enjoyed playing tunes on the Piezo speaker and flashing the RGB LEDs used for backlighting. This may be a Beta version but it is all working now. There are many example programs in MicroPython on the board and GitHub to get you started, and I’ve added a few more on the Forum. I’ve been hoping for a development board like this for years, and now it is here. 10/10 to Pimoroni for making it available. Grab one now!”
