“I'm eager to play with it!
I ordered one and other RP2350 stuff (1 Pico 2, 1 PGA2350, headers), I saw 20% VAT for France added to the order, but nothing talked about customs fees on the web site...
My order was around 40€, and customs asked me 13€ (with 12€ application fee), 1 third of total order, shipping included!
Last time I ordered from Pimoroni was my VGA demo board before July 1st, 2021, and I wasn't aware that Brexit was such a step backwards, and that french customs were such greedy...”
“Easily the best of the RP2350 options thus far! Loved Pimoroni's Pico LiPo, but Pico Plus 2 seems positioned to replace the Pico LiPo in my heart, all those benefits and more more more! Go Pimoroni!
Thanks to the RPi folks too! Adding both external flash and PSRAM will finally allow the RP chips traction as serious competition with Espresstif's offerings -- the RP2040 was excellent, but limited by lack of RAM and storage, RP2350 fixes both. The added+improved PIO cores are a huge plus for hw interfacing as well! All around the RP2350 is an amazing sequel to the RP2040!”
“Arrived quickly, or as quickly as local customs allowed. Haven't had much time to play with it yet, but glad to see that so far everything I have thrown at it has worked well. You just need to update all SDKs, and everything compiles as in the past with the RP2040 based pico. Eager to try out PSRAM - I use C/C++ SDKs and there does not seem to be examples, but I think I have found the information I need between SDK header files (PSRAM chip select is GPIO 47), data sheet and random googling.”
“Whats not to love. New powerfull RP2350 processor with a touch of the old priate magic!
Installed the early release of Pimoroni's Micropython port which supports the PSRAM.
Micropython, with Dual cores, 16MB of Flash staorage and 8MB+ of Heap, WOW!”
“Ordered as soon as it was announced and received a couple of days later. The extra features (compared to the regular Pico2) are well worth the extra cost. I find the PSRAM particularly useful for my C/C++ projects.”
