“Easy setup. Nice form factor. Wish it was bootable but, that's not the fault of the Base.
June 15, 2024 -Okay, hadn't turned on this Pi for awhile. Powered it up this morning and it was like I had never set it up. I was worried that the USB SSD attached had gone bad or something so I let it do it's thing and install and update.
What a surprise to se so many drives and on a hunch, I shutdown the Pi, removed power, removed the USB SSD that had been the boot drive. I powered up the Pi - prepared for errors - and was blown away at how fast it booted up. A quick looka and there were the two drives on the Base Duo.
Ran a Diagnostics on the drive and got:
Test : SD Card Speed Test

Random write speed 89530 IOPS (target 500) - PASS

I am now a tad closer to replacing a Win 11 machine with the Pi5 and this setup.”
