“Actually, really easy to install and get running thought it was going to be a challenge.
Most difficult part was the flexi but follow the video and it is all good.
Happy and will now install all the apps onto my Pi 5 that I have on my Pi 4s.”
“Due to the backlog of orders I was not expecting to receive my order until the end of the month, but I actually received it ahead of expectations, so that was really good. The NVMe base with SSD was easy to install and set up as shown in the video and runs very well so far. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who wants a convenient fast SSD based Pi system.
Overall very pleased indeed.”
“This works very well, and the bend in the flat cable lets us remove the SD card from the pi. I would have found a slightly longer flat cable, to make connection less fiddly. The legend on the cable is very useful. I like the screw kit, and it iis all good quality.
I am very happy with the product, slightly less so with the instructions. I had to combine instructions with another make to understand the purpose of the edits .
I would welcome some status LEDs on the card.
I am not enamoured of the adhesive feet.
How about a version of the 3D printed case to suit”
“Using on an 8G 5 and boots up very quick, (pi OS). Also Pi running a few degrees cooler at idle than when running on an SSD. Will see how I get on using as my every day
PC... so far very pleased.”
“This is the option I have been waiting for, it transforms the Pi into a very fast usable unit.
Easy to fit, being underneath doesnt interfere with the active cooling and the offset PCIe cable leaves the micro sd card slot available.”
“It went together reasonably easily - youtube vid helped. Some more info on activating the SSD as main drive might have helped.
Works and works well.
Only issue is that it doesn't fit with the Official Pi 5 Case and I have not managed to find another case that it fits.”
“The board was fairly easy to install following the excellent video. I was pleased to have the option of mounting it with the official Pi5 active cooler heatsink in place. Previously I had used a usb data drive (originally on my Pi4) but this new board plus 500Gb drive blows that out of the water. I ran benchmark tests and it scored 43584. Disk read was 815.54Mb/s on the supplied ADATA SX8200 PRO. I adjusted to board to run Gen-3 and have had no problems running at the speeds this gives, having used the board for nearly a week.
Well done on an excellent product.”
