Big upgrade from micro sd card. Also big plus PCIe ribbon cable don't cover SD card slot like some other brands do.
This is must have. Hopefully Pimoroni will release some acrylic cases compatible with nvme base looking forward for that.”

“Great addon to a Pi5... makes it super fast.
I followed the simple assembly instructions on the YouTube video (linked from the product page) with no issues and with some minor changes to software to boot off the NVMe card (also documented on the product page) it was all up and running. I'm using a 1TB Samsung Evo 970 Plus which is overkill but it's what I had to hand.
I had been running USB boot to SSD previously but this is faster and much more compact as an under-the-Pi base. As a side note, it also leaves all the GPIO pins free for a Hat expansion which is a requirement for me.
Overall this is a well thought out expansion that works brilliantly and adds a lot of value to my Pi5 system.”
“Once I managed to get this installed it has worked very well. I wish that some instructions were included but I soon found the video on the Pimoroni site. Greatest difficulty was fitting the flexible cable between the Pi5 and this card - this was very fiddley especially as I had missed the fact that both board connectors had latching mechanisms. However pleased with the performance.”
