NVMe Base fits perfectly at the bottom of Raspi5. Also perfectly description of the handling of the board! With the drive compatibility list I found the Samsung 980 ssd with 1TB which I installed to the board. Mounting of the bended connection cable was a little tricky, but finally it worked. Now I am booting my Raspi5 from the ssd without the sd-card and have a lot of memory!

I had previously added an NVME base to my first Pi5 and it is working well so decided to get another for my 2nd Pi5, not disappointed. It certainly makes the Pi5 a viable desktop replacement. quick and easy to install. I would certainly reccommend this. 5*

Great prodduct. Allows me to install 500GB SSD, provides strucural and protective support, was easy to install and get operational. My PI 5 is now an effective computer I use for engineering analysis.

When building my Raspberry Pi 5 cluster, I came across the NVMe bases, I tried a different brand I won't name and had a miserable always locking up or crashing the Pi result. I quickly returned them and ordered the ones from Pimoroni which honestly after shipping are more expensive, but let me tell you they are well worth it. Raspberry Pi 5 8GB with Crucial P3 Plus 2TB NVMe SSDs set to PCIe 3 speeds and not a hiccup in the bunch. With this setup the Raspberry Pi 5 8GB is actually a very nice, very reasonably usable desktop computer for even somewhat intensive video editing and 3D rendering tasks, no worries about storage holding you up! Thanks Pimoroni for a great solution!

This is a well thought-out product. It has lots of nice touches like the curve of the cable, optional rubber foot pads, and the carefully written instructions. I didn't know Pimoroni before this so I was pleasently surprised. Will peruse their store in the future.
