“Fitting the ribbon connector is a bit awkward - in my case I found it easier to fit to the base first, the reverse of the video. This is the nature of the technology and not a criticism. The base is well thought out (you can get at the SD card), the kit came with everything you need - 5-stars all the way.”

“This was very easy to install and configure. Nice, clear instructions and no soldering! Boots up in 10 seconds! For anyone considering this base I suggest putting a bit of thought into how your Pi5 is being cooled. I had the official case and fan therefore had to lose the bottom half and use extra spacers to 'lift' the top half and fan and tape to hold it in position above the CPU. Might be better off with the official Active Cooler and Heat Sink but all fine for now. This Pi5 is running Casa OS for media file share and Home Assistant.”
