“Installed one with Seagate FireCuda 520 1 TB and another one with Seagate FireCuda 530 512 GB. No errors for PCIe 2. Some errors with experimental PCIe 3 setup, but all corrected. I succeed to install everything into a PHOENIX CONTACT 1311013 DIN housing with some minor transformations + adding inside an Audio Amp SHIM (3W Mono Amp) and speaker. In conclusion NVMe base for Pi 5 is a great product.”
“Worked as you would expect. The PCIe cable jogs to the right to clear the SDcard slot. The only negative (and unfortunate oversight) is that where they drilled the mounting holes for the hat allows the NVME board to protrude beyond the end of the PI5 (where the USB ports are). This is a problem for any cases that have a flush fit to the PI5. I had to take a drill bit and widen the mounting holes to ovals so that I could slide the NVME hat backwards slightly.”
“Nicely done. All hardware W/extra appreciated. No problems. Makes my Pi 5 fly. I already had a top board on but rather disliked it. I was glad to see this one come in and I swapped out the other. As the saying goes, "Better on the bottom". Thanks!”
“Hello community, excuse me for the English (I'm a frog eater), my card arrived today, no installation problem (it's true that you need to have little fingers and not paws). mover). Everything works perfectly, super fast, it's a blast as the young people here say. Very satisfied, I highly recommend this card. Thanks again to Piromoni.”
“I'm using my Pi 5 as a DIY project to control my amateur radio station. My Pimoroni NVMe Base arrived Friday, and I was able to copy my SD card, change the boot order, reboot with the NVMe in about 20 minutes after unboxing. It was quick and easy. The ribbon cable is small and delicate, so handle with care. The ribbon cable sockets are also very delicate, so ve very gentle there as well. But it's quick and easy. Oh, and after I booted, I bumped up my PCIe to gen3 speed and it's rocking. The Pimoroni board is solid and a great addition. I'm now booting a 1 Tb NVMe SSD. Fabulous little computer.”
“Worked a treat even though it says it doesn't support Western Digital M2 NVMe SSD. My WD 1TB Black works very well. Very satisfied, the video on YouTube is also well produced and will help anyone. Thanks!”
“Grea piece of kit, I recommend using an nvme from the compatible list, my pi wasn't booting it was the nvme used antec and it booted no problem. Just follow the guide on pimoroni and bobs your uncle!”
