“The e-ink display is great.. But I find that the pico w is very unreliable at connecting to my home WiFi. So ultimately I am a little disappointed with the Badger.”
Ahoy David!
Sorry to hear you've been having trouble! It might be worth checking to make sure your router is set up to provide the device with a 2.4 GHz wi-fi connection - sometimes having it set to 'autodetect' can cause problems.
If that doesn't help, please feel free to drop us an email at support@pimoroni.com with screenshots or the full text of any errors that you're getting and we'll see if there's anything else we can suggest that might help.
“Clever little e-ink display with RPi Pico board (RPi does great job providing WiFi access!). Intuitive preinstalled interface. After printing case, Badger run as portable whether station”
“Great, flexible platform. I am using it to monitor new guests on my WiFi, using python requests to hit a PI5 running arpalert.
You could really monitor anything like this.
The libraries and examples are great. I still need to figure out the RTC.”
“This is a very fun product and quite easy to use. We are using it to read our beehive monitors and display the results. We hooked on a 4200 mAh battery, wrote a little python and printed a weatherproof box and it makes for a cheap and open source project for our customers. (The battery will last 2 years).
Love it. Well done.”
“The documentation and examples are very good. The first board I got was broken while in transit. Pimoroni support via email was great and sent me a replacement board.”
“Really simple to start hacking with it.
Everything is really well explained to use the "default" OS, but you can also do everything you want "by hand" and restore the "original" version if you want to come back to something "easy".”
