“Great build quality, decent colors, works perfectly with a 40 pin Pi. The sample code library is excellent and easy-to-understand. So overall a very satisfactory accessory.
The only downside (why 4 stars instead of 5) is that the display refreshes are really, really slow. Like 20-30 seconds of flashing through color layers. It's a limitation on the e-ink technology and the underlying panel, but it does put some limitations on what you can do with the display. Doesn't make a great clock (unless you only update the time every 15 minutes). Makes a great display for something updated once-a-day or similar.”
