“The kit is well thought out and very easy to assemble a great kit if you ware wanting to play around with the software part of a robot, without getting bogged down in details of which wheels, motors, etc to use.”
“Nicely put together kit. I reckoned that a Raspberry Pi was overkill so I have put together an interface board for a Raspberry Pi Pico W. Using micropython I have no problem driving all the various bits of kit though I did have to write a driver for the SN3218A. Using the Pico W creating a web interface is possible.
My only negative comment is the excessive amount of packaging! An address label would be enough!”
“Very nice robot kit, with nice LEDs and expansion ports. The build was fairly simple, except getting the nuts into the wheel brackets. I recommend levering them in with the shaft of a small screwdriver.
Sourcing a raspberry pi, camera and a decent-sized power bank can be tricky. This is the one I found that works well without feeling like a huge weight: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08ZYPQQF9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
I would recommend this if you need a simple robot with a distance sensor and camera, remember anything else you'll have to add yourself and be aware of what is in the breakout garden for extra sensors.”
