“Rather than solder headers to my first Pico, I thought it best to buy a second one, with headers pre-soldered. Got the order in quick as the Pico is selling fast. Delivery was super quick, just like the first Pico, it came next day. Exemplary service.
So, the header pins slipped easily into the breadboard and I’ve got the test setup, with DRV8834 and Nema Stepper Motor working. Now I can just solder the minimum connections to the bare Pico. That’ll leave me with a ready-made test set-up on the breadboard.
Have to say that Thonny on Windows 10 is a dream to work with compared to Punch Cards and Assembler in the 1970s :-)”
