“Just because your soldering skills might not be up to attaching the headers to a Pico does not mean you cannot develop exciting projects using it.
Makes life so much easier.”
“I've used it with earlephilhower's arduino-pico which lets it be used with the Arduino IDE - google that or look for it on github. It lets you use both cores easily, by adding a setup1() and loop1(), for the second core.
Having the headers soldered on was worth the extra, otherwise it might still be sitting in the packet, waiting for me to get around to that.
My only real criticism of the Pi Pico is that they only labelled the pins on the side you can't see, when it's plugged into a breadboard. A mini-B USB socket instead of the micro one would have been better too, so it would be more robust.”
“Most of my applications of the (brilliant) Pico require headers. Soldering them on yourself is easy enough, but for the price this is a better option....easier, quicker, no problem.”
