“In addition, it would be helpful to have an addon board providing access to the default ports via JST 2mm to RP2040 I2C0, I2C1, UART0 RX/TX, UART1 RX/TX and SPI0, SPI1 using the pins around GP12-15 and GP16 - 19.”
“I was disappointed when I received my Waveshare Pico-ResTouch-LCD-3.5 and realised that it would tie up all my GPIO pins unless I used a swathe of cables.
The Pico Decker has solved this problem admirably. Just attach the LCD display furthest from the Pico and you can use the rest of the GPIO pins. The display does interfere with pins 1-20 on the next door position which is why I bought the Quad version.
What would be a nice addition is if the expander came with little plastic attachments like the end of a female jumper wire that you could put over the pins to remind you that that particular pin was already being used by another device.”
“I had the Pico Omnibus, but I've also got a large selection of Pico packs. This board makes adding quite a range of functionality to the Pico really simple and quick. You can also use it to add a couple of packs whilst still having all of the GPIO pins free for debugging, or adding your own modules / jumpers to. Recommended.”
“Pretty handy, some ideas for improvements.
Adding a reset button (or slide switch so the pico can be held in reset) to a v2 board would be handy. An extra wide slot for a complementary "wider pico proto" would be nice.”
