Sounds great with my JBL 305P powered studio monitors. I had been running a Pi3 and then a Pi4 with another DAC and decided to try the Zero 2 W with Pirate Audio. I bought both a line-out and a 3W amp version (for another project). I had problems at first, but Pimoroni had excellent customer service. I was worried too because I was buying from the US. It turned out really well and I'm very happy with the sound. The whole Zero 2 W + Pirate Audio + USB SSD is tiny and begs to have a case made for it. The display is pretty enough that I know that I'll want to highlight it when I build it. I used the directions right from the Pimoroni website and was up and running, complete with album art, very quickly.

1. Good Timing: Fortunately, 30% discount was applied to my order. Just Moode Audio 8 was available so I could timely moved from its older version (7.6.1) 2. Bad Timing: So late arrived because of COPID-19. And Raspberry Pi OS was upgraded from Old ( Buster ) to New ( BullsEye ) several weeks ago, therefore install.sh for Pirate Audio was stopped with apt update errors. And My ST7489 LCD screen si STILL "In Black" ( Never light-on ).

Works OK with PiCorePlayer. Would like to know how to use the display part though. All your instructions are for some other player software.

It works great! I set it up with Mopidy, which was fairly easy. I prefer Volumio, which required a bit more searching and hacking to get it to work
