If you consider that building your stuff is part of the playing, the picade is made by a passionate team and is a great base for customisation without headache !

“I ordered the Picade 10-inch Kit and received it 2 days later (in the USA)...very quick. The unit is well built and works very well. I am very happy with it, it's a great little unit for the money and would highly recommend it. It was a blast to build!
The only issues I had are...
1. The display acrylic holes did not line up. I could only get the holes in the acrylic to line up on 1 side. I emailed Pimoroni and they responded very quickly and offered to ship out new acrylics but I just used a drill with a small bit to line up the holes on the one side and it worked out perfect. The bezel for the 10-inch display also was upside down, the pre-cut holes in it (which are for the bottom bolts) were actually on the top. I had to flip the bezel over (with the thicker part on the bottom) to get it to properly cover the LCD. No biggie I just poked new holes in it and it covers the LCD perfectly.
2. The power button powers the unit on/off perfectly. The only issue is that it appears that the script does not properly shut down ES powering the unit off. If I have saved any games in favorites or made any metadata changes, they are lost when I power the unit back on. This makes the favorites useless, which if I have thousands of games on the unit is a bit of a pain. I'm thinking a mod to the script could fix this. I've emailed Pimoroni and hope to hear back soon.
Overall I would give the unit a 4.9 out of 5 stars which the little bit shaved off due to the couple minor issues I listed.”
“I love this product. Its very well made and wasn't too much trouble to assemble. Playing on it has taken me back to my childhood. I'd definitely recommend one of these if you're like me and into your old school aracde games and want that mini experience in your own home. A+! Thank you pimoroni.”

“I'm a user of the previous version and this revision is superior in everything. It's smaller and more manageable. The screen is simply amazing. Now you have a button to turn on and off (really useful). In addition everything is more organized inside. His only fault (although it is not a problem, it is a suggestion) is that the joystick is, for my taste, excessively soft. Do not hesitate, if you love retro games, put a Picade in your life !!! The tech support have a 10/10 score.”
