“The case is easy to put together and looks quite elegant. My main complaint would be the access to the micro sd card which isn't easy if you're using your fingers and not a pair of tweezers. I've already snapped one card in half trying to remove it. Luckily it only had the OS otherwise I would have lost my data.”
“I have already purchased a Pibo case that is reddish in colour.
When assembly is complete, you have an elegant cover.
The reason for purchasing the Pibow case is that one can fit the FFC cable for the Picamera and the external display located above the microsd card.
Note the external display plug is in addition to the display connection from the hdmi socket.
There are not too many cases that let you pass the FFC cables.
The Pibow lets you do this.
This is the second Pibow case for my second RPi 4. This is dark in order to distinguish it from the reddish Pibow.
Like the previous Red Pibow, heatsinks were added to the RPi.
The result was that the Pibow case could not accommodate the heatsinks.
This required adding additional layers to the Pibow case AND purchasing the extender bolt set.
The standard bolts supplied were not long enough to take into account the extra thickness of adding the layers.
One the Pibow case with extra layers is fitted, then add the extended bolts then trim accordingly.
The finished item is a very elegant package.
The bonus is that there is enough room to add a GPIO header/hat.”
