“It's a pretty neat little fan. The LED is very very bright. I might use this in the Raspberry Pi 4 case from the RPi project and cut some holes in the top cover so it can suck in air.”

One issue was the interference fit shim. The button and LED were not working but the fan was. It appears the issue was poor GPIO connections. The fan controller pin was good but the other not. I bent the 6 pins used by the board slightly outwards to improve the connection and on restarting everything works as expected.”
