“Great little device and relatively quiet for a small fan. Nice software on GitHub as well. I did manage to get this shim working with the heatsink by using a GPIO header to raise the device. Unfortunately, because the header pins are a tiny bit thinner, the shim doesn't push to fit and I had to solder the shim to the header. Tiny bit fiddly, and would only recommend if you are confident in your soldering skills.”
“Easy ordering process and delivered fast. The fan shim keeps my Pi 4B 4GB at a steady 49 degrees with it over clocked to 1750MHz CPU and 600MHz GPU when idle and rising to 66 degrees when stress tested. The stress test was ran for over an hour and the CPU did not throttle once. The LED gives a clear indication of temperature/load. It is worth noting that I do not use my Pi in a case.
