“I only just received it and fitted it to the pi 4. So far it seems to be fine. The little switch on the side seemed to do nothing when pressed, but I'll try again later. The package was a little crushed on its travels to Aust and while the contents are ok, some stronger packaging might be necessary in the future.”
“Fantastic product! Works very well, I was very happy with my product. The installation was simple, and the configuration easy to tweak; I have mine coming on at 55C and off at 45C, with temperature intervals of 2 seconds. Obviously works best in well ventilated cases; drilled some holes in mine.
A couple of things Pimoroni didn't mention is that it isn't exclusively for the Pi 4; I run mine on a 3B+, and it works (height wise, and no IC2 interference) with your standard waveshare 3.5" touchscreen, both of which were points I took a chance on.
I would definitely recommend it.”
“Very cool (pun intended),
Set temps: on=60, off=48, with brightness=192. Kept all but the largest heat sinks on, then placed the combined package into a modified "HighPi" case (holes drilled in top for previous fan). It is unnoticeably quiet and a simple glance at the case tells me (via LED) what temp it is currently running at. The sample code is also very cool.”
“So easy to put together this cooling solution and even easier to install, it keeps my new Raspberry Pi cool. Will deffo get this for future Pis when I start building a robot army...”
