“This is a brilliant Hat (pun intended) with a bucket load of potential.
I have used it for a personal project, which turned my Raspberry Pi 3 with Unicorn HAT HD (as well as with the SDR stick and dump1090 software) into a Radar Scope for the ADSB receiver. I can easily plot all aircraft within the range of my receiver on the Unicorn HAT HD, relative to the position of the receiver itself, and use the gazillions of colours available to present their altitude!
Loads of fun and very easy to use thanks to a nice Python library provided by the guys at Pimoroni. Highly recommended!”

“As always, with Pimoroni Hats, it works perfectly out of the box and the software support is top notch! Plenty of Python examples to get you started, even if you aren't a hardcore programmer it's easy to pick the examples apart to figure out how to do everything. For everything else, there's also awesome documentation that's easy to follow.
The product itself is super bright, slots straight into the hat securely but leaves a little bit of space on the headers in case you need to pop in a lovely little shim (for instance, the nano black hat hacker!).”
