The Scroll pHAT HD is a great bit of kit for anyone that loves messing about with LEDs. It fits onto the GPIS pins (even with mine and my friend's dodgy soldering) and gives a nice little display that accommodates most of your projects' LED needs. It's also a bargain compared to the original Scroll pHAT at only ВЈ2 more. I would assume that the colours are great as well and I would definitely recommend.

This product was super easy to set up and running, with the hammer headers, and the library comes with examples to get you started. I would recommend using a diffuser - and keeping the brightness down as these can get really bright

I think it's a great product for Pi Zero Projects. I was first surprised that there was a prebuilt Python Library. It was so useful and made me easy. The second thing I was impressed was a performance. Such a bright LEDs makes it easy to recognize. Also, it responded so fast that I was satisfied with it. Last thing I want to tell is that it is so compact.

Incredibly bright and versatile display. Easy to use, write text, scroll it, and have even used it as a dashboard for my server. Only way to make this better would be a daylight sensor to help adjust brightness based on surrounding light, without attaching other peripherals.

I've been keeping my eye on the Scroll pHAT for a while, but I didn't think I had any projects that would require it. Then came the Scroll pHAT HD, and I was captivated with the additional LED's... I am currently setting up a Pi Zero that uses the USB Stem to provide USB OTG connectivity, and I thought that the Scroll pHAT HD would make an ideal system resource display thingy! My plan is to 3D print a custom case with a diffused lid, and then house the whole setup inside. The Scroll pHAT HD is fantastically well built and looks great! I've combined the female hammer head GPIO to save soldering, and have been playing around with the examples provided for inspiration. So far, so good!

The original Scroll pHAT was my first pHAT and it was a great little board. The HD version is a fantastic upgrade with twice the pixels and individual brightness control. Already replaced my original one and will order another soon. Another great pHAT from Pimoroni, highly recommended.

Oh, the fun with these things. I've just used it for a name tag (and something more) and it's perfect. The programming is easy and the examples are just great to learn about the functions available. The online help helps a lot :) Just let your ideas pop up into the light !
