Installation script doesn’t seem to work, but manual installation is very easy. I love these little displays! Really easy just to put up messages for debugging or just for the sake of it.

Love it! I've soldered it together with the Button SHIM and an extra long header, and I got myself a versatile, humble-looking package. It's a thermometer currently, but it might be an alarm clock tomorrow?

Amazing quality and awesomely retro. I recommend to people who are starters with the pi and python!

This is a great starter pack for any amateur/beginner pi enthusiast. Got my pi last week and since then have added Retropie and wanted to test my poor programming abilities. This Phat really helped me learn and build my knowledge of basic python programming, and even show my 7 year old son how to get it to show his name. Overall I'm sure this could be used later in some complex projects, but it is perfect for beginners and to improve your learning of Python programming. Loved it, and highly recommend for people to build on their basic knowledge of Python.

I wanted to create a clock where I could customise it's functions. The scenario is that I wanted to create was that of a sleep trainer clock for my son. E.g. I wanted to determine when the clock show's and doesn't show, based on 'wake up time' and 'bed time'. Cue the Raspberry Pi Zero, Four Letter pHAT and some python code. I have posted the code here --> https://github.com/tcsoft/clock-off You can set the wake up time for Monday - Friday and for Saturday and Sunday. There is also a variable for the bed time. The basic premise goes something like this. If the clock is showing, you don't have to be asleep. If the clock is asleep, you should be too. The Four Letter pHAT came in a single bag and was really easy to solder to the board. I did mange to melt a little bit of the header though as I soldered in the display arrays, so be careful of that. A 1.5mm managed to fix that little problem though as I drilled open the hole for the header to fit to the main board. Great display with bright LED elements, the photo's here don't do it justice.
