“I love these things! They're a lot brighter than you would imagine given their size and so I use them, connected to Pi Zeros, all over my house as a connected smart-lighting system. They're just accent lights and they look great in the evenings and at night. I've had them running reliably since about March (about 4 months now). I've even modified your "pulse.py" example script so that it gets the "z" value which feeds the make_gaussian function from the current timestamp, so that they all pulse nicely in time with each other, and it also picks the hue based on the same timestamp (like your rainbow.py script does) so their colours change in sync with each other too. (Happy to share if you'd like)
I would recommend these things to anyone looking for a fun way to learn Python, as the example scripts in the provided library are excellent and good fun to experiment with. They can be put to any number of different uses, and I guarantee they'll put a smile on your face, especially if you're into RGB LEDs as much as I am!”
